1. The sun from east arise, call me to sing and rise,
The healing rays of Christ the Sun awaken and revive;
His grace as dew descends, my heart's ice melts away,
The shining of His loving face, my idols chased away.
(Chorus) The new breaking dawn, the new revival.
O Lord, I consecrate today, Overcome through You,
Be renewed by You, Till the day You return.
2. Each moment rooted in Him, we're budding, blossoming,
Each morning rise to gather manna, seek Him through His Word;
Unceasingly we pray, as lily, pure and fair,
Be filled with new wine, olive oil, Christ's glory to express.
3. The Lord will surely restore, the years the locusts consumed,
His resurrection power swallows failure, sin, and death;
'Cause He appears always, we walk with *Songs of Steps,
All fame of this world fades away, God's his'ry now we pen.
4. No more to labor in vain, our worthless house of grass,
In one accord we gather wood to build His dwelling place;
Clean, open up our homes, all nations' sinners draw,
Together reap the sheaves with joy, God's sheep to shepherd home.
5. Revival's law is here, op'rating night and day,
Arise to preach the gospel, filling all the earth with praise;
The living of God-men is heaven on the earth,
O Lord keep us in every hour, so fresh 'till Your return.
*Songs of Steps is another name for the Songs of Ascents in the Psalms.
